Personal Finance Bloggers we Love - A FinCon 2012 Tribute

  • Comments 4

In just a few weeks some of the folks here at CareOne and even one of our customers, Travis Pizel will be attending FinCon12 (Financial Blogger Conference); a conference just for personal finance bloggers.

We are excited to hear from them about how their blogs have helped them to reach their financial goals and educate others on personal finance. We value the expertise of personal finance bloggers and are thrilled to be part of the personal finance blogger community.

Each week on A Straight Talk on Debt we highlight some of our favorite articles from around the web.

Today we are featuring some of the writers of those articles.

Personal finance is well, personal; everyone's experiences, challenges, and triumphs are different.

At CareOne we believe knowledge is power and everyone should know that it's okay to talk about your finances, in fact, we encourage it!

Personal finance bloggers are experts in personal finance not because they have a fancy degree or certifications but because they have been there and know what it's like to struggle with debt, balance a budget and save for their future. Our hope is that by sharing their voice and opinion you will better understand that you are not alone and hearing someone else's point of view just might be what makes your finances click for you.

This is part one of a three part series; we hope that you will check out each of their blogs and gain that valuable piece of wisdom to push you through your financial struggles.

Each personal finance blogger or site is special to us in their own way; offering great tips, a heartwarming story, or maybe a resource center for the information you have been looking for.

Our friends at Money Crashers include David Bakke whom we featured earlier this year in our Financial Expert Spotlight. David's get out of debt story inspires his writing as he educates people on making wise choices about credit and debt, investing, education, real estate, insurance, spending,

Not only does Moneycrashers offer excellent educational resources they also foster a community of like minded individuals looking to stay on top of their finances. Everything you need to be financially savvy can be found here.

Money Under 30

David Weliver of Money Under 30 has openly shared his struggles with debt and how he used a Debt Management Plan to help him become debt free. Now that he and his family are out of debt he uses his blog as a place for young twenty-something's to get the financial tips and tricks they need to reach their goals.

PT Money

Phil Taylor of PT Money and FinCon12 organizer is one of our favorites as he is a big proponent of sharing ideas, tips, and stories among personal finance bloggers. His blog focuses on the things you can do to help yourself live the life that you want by making, saving and spending your money wisely.

Free From Broke

Glen Craig of Free from Broke speaks from the heart on his blog where he shares his struggles with being in debt and even having to move back in with his parents. Free from Broke helps people break free from living paycheck to paycheck and gain control of their finances.

Many of us know what living this way can do to your family, your psyche, and your future goals. Free from Broke discusses the big topics that make it possible to break the cycle.

Everything Finance

We love Everything Finance for the news-worthy information provided each day. Our world is constantly changing and Everything Finance stays abreast of the latest news as it relates to personal finance; keeping us in the loop.
