    Thinking about getting a roommate?  The thought crossed my mind several times over the past few years.  It makes sense to rent out an area of your space.  I have a cousin who bought a home with areas that can accommodate 2 renters comfortably. His mortgage, as a result, is paid for by those 2 renters.  Not a bad idea.  But is it worth it?

    I am about to say something that I never thought I would be saying while paying down my debt - I am leaving on a week's vacation.  A real, true vacation.  Beach. Sun. Relaxation.  The last vacation I had was in my credit card days, and of course we know that I am still paying that off!  So when I decided to get out of debt I thought my days of true vacation time were over.  I wouldn't stand for it though.
